Lagos coastal erosion and flood exposure
Increasing flood and erosion pressure is affecting low-lying coastal settlements and transport infrastructure. Repeated inundation has heightened exposure for homes and public infrastructure across coastal districts, where responses still depend on better local data and more durable shoreline management. Vulnerability remains concentrated in lower-income settlements that are least able to absorb the damage.
